i would love to know your set up and settings.

Would like to shoot some of the War vets if i can this year, as most are in there 80's i fear i may not get to meet many more and dont have any pics as it is.
 
The pictures were taken in the upstairs hall of our local library, using the fluoresent lighting from above. I used a canon 350D with a Canon EF-S17-55 f/2.8 IS USM Lens at
Aperture: f/4, Focal Length: 44 mm 1/60sec iso 200. Captured as a RAW file and processed in Photoshop CS3
 
Thats a great capture Fred - Rodin would approve I'm sure.

Great lighting, nice focus (little back of optimal) and the toning is spot on (y)

The B&W really works.
 
That's a smashing portrait, very well composed and the light is great.
