Just coming to the end of a fantastic week in North Uist. Weather as been very sunny and warm every day. A few people here have been here a few weeks ago and reported that it was poor. The wet spring has caused havoc up here and everything is about 4 weeks or more behind. The short eared owls for instance had their eggs fail due to the early weather but I'm happy to report that most now are on eggs or have young.the longer this weeks has gone on the busier and more abundant the wildlife has become. It truly is a magical place given decent weather and the correct time of the year. I will post a few shots when I get home but for now I have just booked again for next year.
