I was going round the Whitworth Gallery on Sunday when I saw this view from the upstairs gallery. They had a good exhibition of photos/film from Pripyat in the Ukraine which was rather thought provoking.

So what do you think.

I took using the grainy film art filter and other than cropping and staightening is straight from the camera.

Here is a colour version.

I may have a go at a B&W conversion myself too.

:plus1: the floor needs it IMO :)

Thanks for the comments.

The grainy film art filter is too contrasty I think (used for fun) and loses detail I will try a B&W myself.

I think there's merit in the b/w version, making greater use of the graphic impact of the shadows

It does need a little correction of some barrel distortion and a little horizontal perspective too, to make the line of the top of the window parallel with the edge of the frame.

Musicman that looks like something I would do but I ma not so sure how to correct the barrel distortion. The first B&W is straight out of the camera as a grainy film JPEG cropped and straightened.

Here is what I did

Photoshop or Lightroom Lens Corrections. Other software may offer similar.

I will look in PS for it.
