There's a lot of nonsense in copyright law and it leads to both innocent misunderstanding and blatant abuse. There's a lot of good sense too, but either way it is the law. So with the law on your side and a lot of money potentially involved, what follows is as obvious as night after day.

Personally, I don't set my moral compass by the actions of either celebs or paps - that would be really ill advised.

I've had agents of artists I've photographed claiming they own the copyright of all images of their clients.
You'd think people in the business side of the industry would have a basic knowledge of the area in which they work.

Basically " Copyright is owned by the photographer- So they may have a point...…...
