In the car with my Dad today, in Hastings and I saw this guy, he saw me aim and made this kind gesture. All good as he smiled so im sure it was all in gest.

I can only presume he was suggesting 1/200th sec would have been fast enough rather than your 1/1,600th sec

Or that you should have taken two shots as a form of bracketing
