Three Legged Thing - ball head

I'm looking at the new airhed 2 evolution 2 : http://www.3leggedthing.com/evo-2-airheds/ah2bl.html

However, I read on a US site that this is designed for a mirrorless system. With a load capcity of 40kg this seems a little surprising! Does anyone know more about this head?

Also, is it OTT and is the Airhed 1 do just the same job just with a lower load capacity? : http://www.3leggedthing.com/evo-2-airheds/ah1bl.html

And since I'm at it, does anyone have a better suggestion for the same price range? Open to ideas!

No friction setting mentioned or control knob for it from what I can see, thought it would have for that sort of money
