I was in the garden late last night and noticed a toad. It was pitch black, but I managed to grab my Sony W70 snapper, guessed the setting to use quickly and got this.
Well done indeed! I have toads & frogs in my garden and I know how quickly they can be spooked and leap away, moving that branch would mean bye bye Mr Toad and no photo.
As said already, very nicely exposed etc for a grab shot in the dark!
What I tend to do in situations like this, is make that 'grabshot' first ... just incase they leg it.
Then I ry to concentrate on composing further shots after that.
Only trouble with getting down & too close to these blighters ... they tend to slap you on the forehead as they make make their escape ... I speak from recent experience!
