Hi Guys,

I was in the garden late last night and noticed a toad. It was pitch black, but I managed to grab my Sony W70 snapper, guessed the setting to use quickly and got this.

I'd appreciate your comments, good or bad.

Thanks

Pretty sharp for a quick snapshot!..as mentioned the branch is a bit distracting but well done for getting the shot.

Well done indeed! I have toads & frogs in my garden and I know how quickly they can be spooked and leap away, moving that branch would mean bye bye Mr Toad and no photo. (y)

Thanks for taking the time to comment.

As mentioned, I didn't want to risk moving the plant in case he got spooked.

I was impressed with the camera's auto settings. I just set it to "twighlight" and held it as still as I could.

Thanks again.

G.

If you see it again try getting down to his level...if he will let you :)

As said already, very nicely exposed etc for a grab shot in the dark!

What I tend to do in situations like this, is make that 'grabshot' first ... just incase they leg it.
Then I ry to concentrate on composing further shots after that.
Only trouble with getting down & too close to these blighters ... they tend to slap you on the forehead as they make make their escape ... I speak from recent experience! :D
