Today in the garden

I took this picture today in the garden with my simple point and shoot and blurred the background in photoshop and changed it to a black and white image as well. My husband showed me how to do it and actually he did it more than me.

that's not bad - crop is a bit odd, but I like the soft tones - keep at it

The crop is actually the way I took the picture - deliberately. It might be technically totally wrong - don't know anything about technique - but I always like cropped images of faces.

I can see you are enjoying your camera, especially when you have a little model to play with too! I think you also should adjust the levels to bring out some light in her face. Another tip is to compose your shot and ten call their name and as they look up at you, click the shutter. You need to try and focus on the eyes. Looking forward to seeing more...
