Great shots Les.

They do appear very dark on my monitor though and I wondered if they could be brightened in any way?

I know the light was poor but if you meter for the trees as in Byan Peterson's ' Brother Geen Jeans' technique, surely this will lift the scene and stop the slight red cast.

It could be my monitor though. No exif either as I want to see what settings you are using.

Great shots Les. (y)

Seem a bit dark here too. Maybe by 1/3 to 1/2 a stop? Anyway, that's by the by ... these are great shots, wonderfully crisp, and really showing some very good action. 5, 8 and 9 are my favourites, I think :)

Hey ref, punch up..

#8 - Great image...(y)

Wow great set. Don't seem to dark here. Great colours and action (y)

Hope you don't mind Les

Just a slight levels adjustment and in the channels mixer I reduced the red channel red slider from 100% to 83%

They look more high contrast to me rather than generally too dark. Sort of a sports magazine picture look. I'd prefer the blacks not quite so solid but they work as they are.

Assuming they are local amateur matches the players would probably love to see shots of themselves like this.

No, looks fine to me,-thanks :)

I'm liking these, you've captured the action well and they're sharp. The dof is good as well to make the players stand out from the background.

My favourite? The first one - I like the scenery of quiet and rustic with the match in the foreground, makes a nice contrast, did you get any others like this with the game in full flow?

:agree:.........in No 1 you could crop out the players and that would make a great shot in its own right (y)
