Travel tripod/Hertfordshire

Hey folks, the tripod I brought along on my vacation has given up the ghost, so I need to pick up a reasonally travel tripod in Harpenden/Hertfordshire region. Any recommendations?

Clarks in St Albans have 2nd hand gear, e-bay has cheap tripods, or if its just for a few days you can borrow one of mine, I live in Harpenden.

Any spots in particular that lends itself to good landscapes? I've started getting cabin fever so I'll try and hire a car in Luton on 26/27th if I can find any places open.
