Hi All,

VERY excited, i have just booked a cheap trip to Marrakesh in early July, it's my first trip abroad with my camera and i'm looking for some advice on moving around with my kit!

Currently i have a very old, nasty, camera bag (journalist type), but hate lugging it around. I have a feeling that my camera will be out and on my shoulder quite a lot, so i was thinking of some options for walking round my kit all day, here's my kit list.

Canon 30D
50mm f1.8
Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L II USM (hire hopefully)
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L USM (hire hopefully)

I'm ex army, and (old habits die hard) was thinking about putting lens bags onto an old Webbing belt and just walking around like that (don't worry fully clothed), easy to get to and change lenses etc.

Has anyone had any experience doing this? does it work or is it a total pain in the A£$??

Any advice on the lens choice would be great as well, VERY much learning still!

random thoughts

a) it'll be dusty so do you want to be changing lenses
b) a non-descript bag would hide the kit from our light-fingered friends
c) travel/camera insurance
d) take lots of memory cards aka film!
e) post lots

thanks Mike,

could you recomend a good all rounder hire lens? to avoid lens changing?

canon do 55-250 if you want length
70-200 is nice though

who you hiring from?
take a look at StewartR on here www.lensesforhire.co.uk
