Tripod- Buy it or bin it??

looks nice and compact for the height, but don't think it will be sturdy enough with my dslr and lens.

Can anyone suggest an alternative ( compact, light and sturdy)
John

Nope its poop, the legs are telescopic car radio arials, just about usable with a small compact pas.
It makes quite a decent table top tripod without extending the legs for a small bridge camera, all the weight in those unextended legs keeps it quite stable.

I would be very careful about buying a low priced tripod if it is for general outside work. My philosophy is that you only get what you pay for so as tripods are an essential part of the outdoor photographers kit I would rather pay for a real sturdy model. I think that next to the camera (and lens) the tripod is the most important bit of gear.

I follow the rule, you buy cheap you buy twice.

I wouldn't trust my kit on that tripod.

I have one of those from my compact days and that is all they are intended for.

Thanx

I've spent my dosh instead on a Kenko 1.4x extender for my 70-200 f4 L :):) lol
