Hi guys, I've lost one of the adjustment handles for my manfrotto compact advanced and before buying a replacement I thought I'd ask if anyone could recommend a different head that would fit on the legs I have. I use it mainly for landscape photography.
Cheers

Have you tried to get a replacement part (adjustment handle) from the UK based Manfrotto spares here https://www.manfrottospares.com

Logically lower price(?) than a new head??

I can get a replacement part for £15 but before buying one I thought I'd ask the question

As you mention handles, I'm guessing you have the version with the pan and tilt head?:

This thread suggests there is no simple way to replace it with a standard head:

Yeh that's the one I have and thanks for linking that article. I'll just order a new handle for the moment then. Could anyone recommend a tripod for landscape photography, nothing too expensive though and I do like the manfrotto tripods

I was going to recommend the Feisol Tournament models as two friends have them. They are stupidly light and quite stable - great if you have to climb a bit for the shot. However I checked their website and saw the current prices - OUCH!

Have a look at the used market for quality tripods (no cheapies!) as there are some bargains to be had if you are patient.
