I'm totally new to birding and bird photography. Today was my first outing to a nature reserve & some bird hides with my new 400L.

An experienced birder told me there were Twites about and that they were fairly rare. I think this matches the description but confirmation would be great!

Rats - I think this is a reed bunting now. C&C would still be great!

LOOKS like a Twite, the beak dosn't look right to me, maybe the angle though. Someone from the bird forum may know more!

Pics look great though to me!

I agree Phil Reed Bunting, I like the composition of the second image.

I like the second one best, lookes like a female reed bunting to me too.

A Twite would have a yellow beak, no pale moustache, and a mustard yellow hue to its chest.

Tis definately a female reed bunting im afraid......though I do like the shots (y)

Havn't got a clue as to the ID but three great shots - No 2 for me though (y)

Thanks for all the comments guys!
