I have and use twixtor but for good results really you need to be shooting 50/60fps before using the plugin otherwise the synth frames will show too much.

I totally agree. I've tried it at 25fps and it leaves really bad trail lines on the moving objects. It's possible you can use other plugins (effects) to correct this however?
