Nice pair Stuart especially the "corvid type"
I was gong to say Raven but the beak is to straight
and don't Choughs have a red beak?

No idea sorry

Tahnks all, have done a bit of Googling on carrion crow and does look like one.

Carrion crow.
I have seen them lift young rabbits then drop them from height before eating them.

Newly emerged (from the burrow) rabbits are not very big.
In springtime when sheep are lambing the ewes sometimes land on their backs & cannot get up. Those crows will take their eyes out.

Makes sence, nature can be crule somtime, but supose it is survival of the fittest.

Nice shots Cosmix.
Lovely work on the exposure on the crow.

You don't see sights like that in Sauchiehall Street

Both great shots..............but the detail in the crow's feathers makes it the best shot for me. Well done :clap:
