Two greenfinch from early today

i found it hard to get a sharp shot because of the strong wind,these two are about all i could manage from my garden early this morning,

It's hard when the subject is swaying around in the viewfinder, IS isn't a lot of help in those situations.

I'm guessing these are fairly heavy crops John, number 2 is my favourite but being taken at a distance of 15 meters, and under the poor conditions, you did well especially against the bright sky

I have 4 of these in the garden now, just waiting for the chance to shoot them on the 'landing' perch I've installed around the feeder lol

Hi all,thought i would post the exif,lens was 100-400mm L 4.5-5.6 with 1x4 extender,taken at 560mm,iso 500,f/8.0,1/1250 sec,i would say i was about 20 mtrs away,
