Two sigma lens what the difference

I am looking to buy a walk around lens that I can leave on the Nikon D90 and use for most occasions. I am currently looking at two but am not sure of the difference other than the price .
I would appreciate advice .

at £329, is it only that the more expensive one is the newer model , would it make that much of a difference image wise ..

The more expensive one is the newer version and can be adjusted with the USB dock.
The other one is a macro lens (can be used like any other lens), but is handy if you want to do some close up photography

The old version was labeled as a macro, but it isn't. The old version goes to 1:2.7 and the new version goes 1:2.8. The new version rates a little better optically.

What can be adjusted via usb ?? Does it come with USB dock also ..

Taking a look for review suppose I should have tried this beforehand !
