See you had the ISO at 800.
I also use the D300 and have been reluctant to bump the ISO to 800, but these look VG so may get a bit more adventurous.
Did you do much processing on them ?

The one thing about my hide is that it is an the north side of the hill & as such sometimes I struggle for light. Especially in winter as the sun does not reach it.
It was very dull there today for a while & I bumped up to 800 then forgot as usual to change it back.
I usually only have a wee tweak of levels, touch of contrast then sharpen. I canna get on with PS so use Nikons NX.

The NX is certainly working.
Just missed a copy of NX 1 on the FS.
