Two Tarn's

Hi All,

Here are a couple I put in to our local Camera Club Competition last night.

The top one did alright but the Judge went on to say that in many national and international comps he'd judged it would be cast to one side as being 'Too Pretty'


Think I might need to start taking some ugly stuff!!!:shrug:

Just for viewing info - it looked tonnes better last night, and was way too Pretty, though it did get a comment for the barbed wire as being unfortunate

So, Mr THX's top-tips for landscapes, make them great, make them dramatic (except as HDR ones), make them good or okay or crap - just don't make them too 'Pretty'

Definition - a 'Pretty' shot is one loved by all and is therefore crap

Two beautiful pictures my choice has to be #2 I like the way the fence and rocks lead your eye through the picture very well taken.
