My first proper outing at a rally with my D50 so i thought i would have a play. Really impressed with Mole2ks night shots. I must invest in a flash gun.

Great shots, it wasnt untill I was at the event I remember you had said you would be heading over or I would of met up.

I didnt actually use a flash for my shots, I positioned myself and used the flashes off all the media guys stood on the inside of the corner, ideally I would of wanted a remote flash set somewhere near the apex of the corner so it wasnt so hit and miss getting an illuminated shot.

ah right that was quite clever then! Will remember that for next time. I'd have probably tried that too but the mates i was with are hardcore rally nuts and tend to go places where others don't.

I navigate so I get to dictate where we go, for the 5th stage which I knew would be at night I went to one of the actual spectator points as I knew it would be crowded :).

Normally I end up in the middle of nowhere too, we tend to end up on some impassable roads at times. We stalled up uphill in 1st gear once because the hill was that steep :D, it was a path across a mountain.

There is a few cars painted in that scheme, the mk2's my favourite.

Walk into your local Tesco and buy a bottle of Bush (Bushmills) whiskey. It's twice as good as that other gimmicky stuff.

David.

I've never drank ****in' irish whiskey before personally.
