Understanding cropping/ resizing

Its there any good tutorials on this i use lightroom or at least i try in my pp but dont really understand cropping and resizing

Should i be resizing or cropping all my photos? Or at least the keepers


Any info would be great i do find pp such a chore

I don't use lightroom, but my take is you dont NEED to resize images for printing. You MAY want to crop some of your pictures for composition, levelling etc. If you are intending to put images on the web (here, for instance) you will want to crop AND resize. All your original images (the ones from the camera) that you keep should be in their original state of size etc.

You don't need to, and there is no point in doing so as a matter of routine.

The only time to crop or resize with Lightroom is if you are exporting a version for uploading online or for printing (if you're not using the print module).
