Yes
This weekend has a discussion with a fellow photographer in regards to equipment and expectations.
To clarify a little : working with different light and constantly changing environments ( weddings in this case ) the final product must always be sharp and clear. That was the jist of the fellow photographers comments, and I do not disagree but I am more about the shot itself and then clarity etc, but I see where the person is coming from and accept this.

However I found my self feeling a little unsure about my very reliable camera and started pricing other cameras.

SO here is the first question : Is it time to upgrade my D300s ?
This camera is super reliable and does everything I ask, except it does not handle low light aswell as the D700 and company.
reason I have not gone to a D700 is its lack of dual memory slots ( my D300s has a SD and CF slot, while the D700 only has a CF ).

So the next question : D3 ( not S or X ), OK maybe the D3s, D700 ( even with only 1 CF ) or should I wait to slog it out until I am ready for the D800 ?
The D600 is not an option for me, I do not like the way the buttons are laid out, and I don't want to be fiddling when I try to get a shot.
Downside for D3 is it is now going on 6 years old, the D700 4 years.

I will stop here for now
