Upgrade to a canon 500d?

Hi Guys and Girls!

OK Few years ago I got into photography brought a Olympus E500, using some old film photography books got the basics to taking some really nice shots!

Recent years been lame taking photos until children came on the seen! Even though the E500 is a good camera I've recently used a 450D and ended up liking it more so now I considering upgrading to a Canon 500D so do you think this is a good move or am I upgrading when maybe there is no need? :bang:
 
Liking how comera feels is a very good reason for upgrade. 500D is good camera, however if you can stretch your budget a bit then I'd recommend giong for 550D.
 
The 500D would be a heck of an upgrade from the E500, but I'd just try a 40D before you do anything. A physically much nicer camera (in my opinion!)
 
Go for a 40/50/60d, much more of an upgrade.
 
Hahaahaha I shall look into the 40/50 and 60's!!

Must admit I like the lens ranges which are available for canon's! always felt so locked in in with olympus!
 
Well Bit of looking around last night and I've decided to put my monies together and stretch to either a 50d or 60d! The fps is too tempting.... to handing when photographing my children who stay still for less than a second!!
