Upgrading to D7000

After much deliberation between Nikon D300s and D7000, I've just ordered a D7000 body and Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 to replace my D50 and kit 18-55. Hoping to see an improvement in IQ. I'll be pretty disappointed if I don't! Of course, it won't improve my skill level

So, come Tuesday, it'll be out with the manual and start learning where everything is again!

You won't be disappointed. I upgrade to D7000 from D5000. The D7000 is very very good when you use good lens. The Tamron 17-50 f2.8 is good lens so it will work out well with the D7000.

I started off with a D5000 with a 17-55 VR, 55-200 VR, 35mm f1.8 and 17-70 but since i got the D7000 pretty much everything is sold except the 35mm and i got myself a 70-200, 50mm, 135 and 28 manual lens and the 28-70 f2.8
