Is it possible to somehow split a USB socket from the back of my PC?

I've run out of sockets on my PC and would like to split one of them to take a mouse and a Wacom tablet simply to save me crawling around on the floor unplugging one and plugging the other in its place.

I've found splitter cables on the internet but they seem to say one of the ports is for charging only. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Simply answer is no.
You buy a USB card to plug into a spare port (not knowing the spec of your PC will be either PCI or PCIE) or an external USB hub which will give you more USB ports.
If you have a USB 3 port on the PC then get a USB 3 hub.

Thanks for all the help, really appreciated. I'll take a look at the links.

Thanks for the link Bazza. There looks to be a socket I can plug into, I'll give it a try as it seems a "tidier" way of getting what I want.
