hi can you guys and girls tell me which filter to get ??
i have a sony 18/70mm standard kit lens, and a minolta 1.7 50mm lens
does anyone know the sizei should get !!!!!! its all abit mind blowing
oh sorry where to buy as well would be nice

thanks

The thread size you need is usually imprinted on the inside of the lens cap. By the best that you can afford, Hoya is good.

There should be a circle with a line through it (like a greek 'phi'), usually on the front of the lens, often in white lettering!

I can't be certain as I have neither lens, but a quick google shows the Sony 18-70 as 55mm and the Minolta as 49mm filter sizes. It will definitely be shown on the front of the lens anyway.

If you don't want to spend a fortune the Kenko MC UV ones are good. If you want the best then Heliopan or B+W.
