External flash behind acrylic, with a heart shaped red plastic cut out, stuck on it, upside down. Then dropped droplets into a dish below and played about with focus/distance etc until I got the heart in focus and the right size

Haha, ta! This one didn't take too many shots - I didn't count though and I've deleted the garbage ones now. Perhaps 50? Around there. Including a few set up shots to get lighting etc right.
