Very first 'bird shot' with my new Nikkor 300mm f/4.

Sorry folks, but technically, this is the first 'bird shot'!


Anyway, I'm off out to the forest now, to see what I can find to shoot with this wonderful new lens. From the quality of the results that I got from a random shooting session at the fun fair last night, I'm really expecting great things from this ultra-sharp prime .

Using 'Lightroom 2', I increased the 'vibrancy', lowered the 'saturation' and boosted the 'blacks'. I like the look that it gives for pictures like this .
