Very high contrast B&W from FP4

I have a rather bizarre little project that may or may not come off. As part of this I need to generate very high contrast, almost lithographic, negatives on sheet film.
(my initial tests will be with images printed onto transparency film with a laser printer to make a fake 'negative')

What is the best way to take and process FP4 (because I have some of that) 4x5 (portrait orientation ;) ) sheet film to get high contrast?

I'm presuming underexpose a couple of stops and push the processing like crazy (extend the development time) to get the deep negatives. Any suggestions for a developer to use?

Are you going to be shooting with a 5x4 camera? If so fomapan is quite a contrasty film and is cheap but the easiest way to boost contrast is to underexpose slightly and then agitate a lot when developing.

If you are going to use FP4 I would just shoot a few sheets and then experiment.
