Vintage camera repair.

Yes
I am attempting to repair a couple of vintage cameras.
The camera I am working on at the moment is a 1962/63 Ilford Sportsman.
The shutters are sticking, hence I have removed the front lens and gained access to the shutter.
As soon as I touched the shutter it moved, so I have cleaned it and it works for a short while then sticks again.
So do I continue to clean the shutter or do a more involved strip down?
If so I will have to source some lens removal tools and a couple of fine screwdrivers.
Any one else doing this sort of thing here?

Sounds like you'll need to strip it down.

You could try some lighter fuel on the shutter leaves and then fire the shutter a dozen time. It will likely work straight away but whether it keeps going, who knows!

I have done a wee bit of work on it, but I think your right about that, its working most of the time, but when I use 1/25 or Bulb the shutter is staying open most of the time, soon as i move the shutter speed or the wind on lever it closes.
