Some years ago I located this 1912 Ruston Proctor Portable Steam Engine abandoned on a farm in the mid west of Western Australia . I friend thought had a good chance of being restored so we recovered it. To cut a long story short ,yes we did restore it to it full working condition . Those with an expert eye may have noticed that the fly wheel is not there ,it was recoverd.IMAG0011.JPGIMAG0012.JPG

Be good to see that working again. That first shot is very atmospheric!

I can certainly show it fully restored ,allow me a few days to find the photo's. If you are interested I can also give a brief description of the restoration and some of the problems that had to be overcome. Anyone with an engineering background may be interested, if so please let me know.
