Unfortunately, we didn't see any action on the hill due to an accident that happened shortly before we arrived that took an age to clear due to an overzealous twit of a copper who was asking if other vehicles were involved and what the registration number was - of a racing car on a closed track... However, since they're race cars at a race meeting, I think these belong here rather than in the transport section, although I've put a few from the car park in there too!
Last I heard, the driver of the crashed car was stable but had a broken leg.
First up, a couple of non-vintage invitees.
A very pretty 1960 Cooper T56
and an ex-Moss Connaught A7 from 1952
Some detail shots of...
The noisy side of a 1911/18 Austin/Hall-Scott EB4.
A Marshall "amplifier" (for music fans!) on something I really should have noted down!
and the valve gear of a 1918 Piccard-Pictet Sturtevant Aero Special.
