Just a few shots taken at Titchwell last week. The one of the Curlew in flight was taken using the 300 f4 and the other two were taken using the 100-400 + 1.4 converter and taped pins. Your comments are very welcome.

I wonder if #2 would be better with a tighter crop so we can see more of the bird

I prefer number 2, only because number 1 seems soft and number three is all sky and not much bird... maybe an enlargement would be in order. Number 2 though is spot on.

Very good shots especially No,.2 my favourite type of birds the waders,, their calls are eerie and wild out on the mudflats.

Thanks for your comments. I took the Redshank shot very late in the day when the sun was very low and giving the bird a warm look about it, this could be why it seems soft. As for the Curlew I have already cropped it to 33% below is a 100% crop.
