wakeboarding - sheffield rother valley

Went for a drive upto sheffield rother valley today to photograph some lads who wakeboard regularly down there... here are the results.

Nice shots Tom, I hadn't realised the weather was so good round here?? Worth the drive though (gonna go down myself now i've sen these)!
My choice are # 2 & 4 with, (your permission)?, IMO, a little crop & P&P. Kind regards Graham.

weathers not always great the sun was coming and going most of the time, it's ALWAYS windy though so be prepared... i think the crop is good but when i look at the ones you did for me they look a little flat? i dunno what peoples views are but i like contrasty images! thanks for having a play!

I would agree that the ones done by Bluesman graham are very flat and lack any pop to them at all, I must say I don't like the crops either with the boarder being placed vertically in the middle of the shot makes it look a bit boring and too simple. I don't think the original crops are too far off the mark maybe a little tighter but I like them.

cableliquid you will have to let us know when their is some more action down there and I for one will make the effort to pop down for some snaps.

i work most weekends so wont be going down for a while but go on sheffielcablewaterski.com (i think) and see when the Ten Feet High Series is.... those are the best times to go as you are guaranteed pro riders and decent people and enough action to keep you occupied.

These look really good. and I'm not a million miles away myself.
What kit were you using to take these with?

i just took my cheapy kit, so a 400d with a 55-200 kit lens, put on continuious drive with back focussing button active (helps alot!!!)
