Hi,

Looking to start making short films And narrowed it down to either the GH5 or the new XT3. My question is based on this..

I am swayed towards the XT3 for obvious reasons but the Panasonic does seem to offer more for the filmmaker. I’ve tried to find out but can’t see it anywhere, does the XT3 offer video lock like the GH5 does. I wouldn’t use it often I dare say but would be nice having the option. Also is there anything that I am missing as to why it doesn’t matter and both would be good?

Both offer 4K 60fps, which I want so I can do slow motion when the need arises but not sure which would offer the better quality?

If you are mainly interested in image quality have a look at the Black Magic pocket cinema 4k.

The price is great with a compromise on auto focus and image stabilisation.

It’s still not been released yet though. Read a few pages on google and they say it could be next year.
