Wasp nest in bird box

[beyond the blue]

I have had a bird box with camera inside for a couple of years. I have been waiting for the usual Blue Tit activity around the box for the last few weeks but unfortunately there has been little sign of any birds showing an interest in the box. Today the camera showed tiny little black dropping on the floor of the box so I unscrewed the lid to have a look inside and spotted the culprit, a small wasp nest just out of view of the camera. I have removed the nest but what is the chances that any birds will take up residence at this time of the year?

I believe that the Blue Tit (in common with other species) will multi brood,.....so as still quite early, quite possibly on the surmise that each brood could be in a new nest?

Actually, while some species do have second broods, I don't think blue tits do; however it is still (just about) early enough for a late first brood, I think.
