How do you do that, then?

Break the glass then switch on so the filament burns out is my guess.
Nicely executed

How do you do that, then?

heat the bulb up then dip in cold water,this cracks the glass,then it's just a matter of switching on the bulb for it to blow,hope that helps you,I tried with all the glass removed first,but prefer this method,I think it's a better effect

I thought it was a light painting effect at first - now it seems way more dangerous! Great twist on the usual lightbulb shots!

I suppose timing is a great factor in this also dark room turn light on take pic or is there some sort of trigger to take at the right time

I also like the first one most, amazing shot!
But how would the picture look if you cropped it to lanscape instead, placed the bulb in the right corner, with the golden mean in your mind, and made the bulb bigger proportionell to the background?
Just something I was thinking about ^^
