Water drop in lens?

Ok... I have a (2nd hand and about 8 year old) Canon XM1 with a non-detatchable lens which I was filming a water fountain with and when I pointed the camera up, I saw something move across the screen. I looked at the lens and there was a water drop on the glass behind the front element.

I'm currently away from home so I can't take it to a specialist for at least two weeks, so what should I do? Do I wait and see if the drop evaporates (although I've heard that fungus can appear), do I try and take it apart or do I wait until it can be looked at professionally?

Thanks for any help and if pictures are needed, I can try and get some! (y)
