Water/ Dust Resistance - equal to EOS 1N

Hi.
I have a 7D, its advertised as equal to an EOS 1N with regard to water/dust resistance. This means nothing to me, does anyone have experience of the resistance of a 1N? (I also understand a 'L' standard lens with screw in filter fitted is required to achieve the rating)
Any experience appreciated

Hi.
As I have received no feedback I will amend the question, In real life, how do users find the 7D performs with regard to moisture/dust resistance. ( I am surprised that Canon relates to a camera that was 1st marketed in 1994). It is accepted that any comment is an opinion however any experience would be appreciated. Any comment as to how the performance (weather wise) equates to the 5D Mk11 also appreciated.

I can't comment on the 5DMK2 as I've never used one but my 7D coped pretty well during my holiday in Poland in January. It was used in blizzard conditions, soaked with melting snow and used in temps around -25. I was scooping snow out of the lens hood every couple of minutes during the heaviest snowfalls. :nuts: The camera never missed a beat. It was used along with my 24-105L c/w filter.
