Water Marking

Guys.. A while back was a tutorial on how to create a water mark, which was basically like a colourless 3D text that distorted the image so it could not be replicated but was not intrusive at the same time... I hope that makes sense?

I have searched for how to do this, but have drawn a blank!

I have tried to create one using opacity and blending options, bevel and emboss in PS but when I save as a .Gif it does not come out as hoped! if I leave as a .Psd file I cannot copy and paste without flattening the image, which looses the transparency...

Could do with a pointer or 3 please.

Why not create a watermark brush.

1. Create a new file say 500 pxl x 250pxl
2. Type whatever you want to fill it, bevel, etc
3. Edit, create brush preset
4. Done.
If you apply the brush in a new layer you can adjust the opacity etc
