I have launched a new website for my photography and would appreciate some feedback/critique. I am aiming to make it more social/interactive over time linking it in with facebook/twitter/flickr and you tube and have a mobile version too (but for some reason the you tube video doesnt work on my HTC)

Anyhow please comment!

There's quite a lot of redundant text on the site, and the fact that the text is white on a black background doesn't help. I would get rid of stuff like 'welcome to my...', ' please dont hesitate to...', if you are a new...' etc. Also the menu heading 'pages' is redundant, and the dates are difficult to read as they're so faint.

I could be wrong but I think Youtube videos only play on the youtube app on Android handsets.

Thanks for that. I wondered if I had waffled too much! That's weird about the you tube thing thanks for confirming!

No problem. Did start typing 'far too much waffle' but edited it as didnt want to cause offence :D

As mentioned, there's loads of text on the main page, photography websites need to be straight to the point, and nothing does that better than one of your best shots.

By no way is my website the best, but it sort of shows what I mean, straight into it with the pictures www.carbonangel.co.uk

Thanks to all for feedback, I accept all comments as they were intended and really appreciate the time taken to have a look. For me, I think it will be back to the drawing board and work out something a bit sleeker and clearer. That was the intention of the post to gauge opinion and I posted similar thread elsewhere and feedback was similar... Watch this space!
