Afternoon all,

Whats the best SEO plugins for wordpress? I have an all in one plugin but wondering if it seems to do anything

I can search for my site in google etc and it shows at the top but its other words like my name that doesnt bring it up

whats the best way to increase the SEO of my site for it to find my name?

I have added keywords etc to the SEO to cover everything but it doesnt seem to have done anything
 
just to add to that, i've just tried to search the following on google, yahoo and bing

just my name
my name photograher
my name photography

I appear at the top of Yahoo and on some searches on Bing and page 3 on google

seems the keywords work nicely with some search engines just not others
 
All In One SEO is among the best that you can get tbh...

Does the content of your description match the homepage text (roughly, not exactly)..

Do your H1 tags match the title of the page(s)

How many links do you have to your site?

There are lots of variables when it comes to SEO, and they do need reading up on.

When did you install the plugin too, as it might just be that you're expecting results too soon :)
 
I use all in one SEO, was installed when I first designed the site

What I haven't done which I need to correct is as follows. I separated the site into sections so I had things like products as a separate wordpress install, portraits which i am just starting as separate install, I hadn't put the SEO plugin onto those parts of the site so have missed out on hits and so on from those, I shall correct that tonight

links to the site? erm..... a few I would have thought, using social networks for a couple, forums, forum signatures and so on so that helps

Descriptions doesnt fully match but covers the basics
 
Links to your site should contain the keywords you want to rank well for.

For an example of this go on Google and search for 'Click Here'. Adobe reader will come up first. This is because lots of sites have the text Click Here to download Adobe Reader.

They have 35,710 links to their site with the link text 'click here'
