Yes
Well now I really do want to give up. Just went to use the EM10ii and this happens, just had enough of stuff going against anything I want to or enjoy doing.
Looked at camera stuff this week, and now the freezer is now waiting for the repair man to see if it can be saved.
When do you say enough is enough,
I loved fishing but can't go any more, I loved darts, but can't play any more, loved snooker but stopped playing due to covid and wife's illnesses, the list goes on.
I can guarantee you, the moment I start enjoying something, someone or thing will put an end to it for me.

I know how you feel and I suppose we all do but really, this isn't the end and you shouldn't let it be. Get it fixed and enjoy it again.

Good luck.
Thanks for the heads up, I did not know they just snapped into place lol, as the hinge is fine I will look at getting another door. Hope they don't cost to much.

Sorry for the rant, but I get freaked out real quick. (part of my illness lol) Anyway for now I have screwed the ECG-3 grip on to stop anything finding its way inside.

Oh man. I know that feeling of “oh ffs” that sometimes seems inescapable. To echo what everyone else is saying though, don’t give up. Sticking a grip on is a good idea, and personally I prefer a camera with a grip anyway.

I've found that feeling has got worse as I've got older, little jobs take twice as long etc. etc. In one of those synchronistic moments that happen from time to time, one of the people I sailed with on a ship when working at sea got in contact with me.

I was saying a similar thing to him and he reminded me that when things got really rough our saying used to be "Non illigitum carborundum" For those who haven't heard it before, it's dog Latin for "Don't let the b*st*rds grind you down."

I've started to say it to myself either out loud or under my breath, depending on where I am, and I'm finding it helps quite a lot.:)

I had that on a brass plaque on my desk when I was head of customer services...

In this case it's just a door, not as bad as if you dropped the camera. You might even find a YouTube video on how to put it back together.
