Wet Clean - which one?

Until now I have only ever used a rocket blower and brushes to clean my sensor. I seem to have something smeary on the sensor of my D700. Can anybody recommend a particular wet clean solution?

I recommend one of these

Don't buy the expensive pre-cut ones, they are very expensive and the one I linked above will do the same thing, except you have to make the wands yourself.

I use a fluid and home made swabs Pete, its 100% methanol which is the same as the first eclipse fluid.

The Copperfield method is one of the names that I learnt from, but I can't find a good link. ...gone I think. :shrug:

As far as I'm aware, there are two types of eclipse fluid, one standard and a gentler one for sensors that have self cleaning surfaces. I’m not sure which yours is.

Thanks Adam, I have just ordered the one that SM recommened, keen to get some quickly so haven't got time to mess around making the swabs. It does seem pricey for what it is though...
