I have seen these on ebay

Brand New 1200-90mm telescope with DSLR Camera mount
It's a powerful 1200mm objective focus length. It should increase to 1800-2000mm for most DSLR..
(Duo to effective angle of view for most DLSR is 1.5x /1.6x focal length)
You can take impressive pictures of the moon, planets and other celestial objects.
It also take extraordinary pictures of shy or wild animals or of a spectacular natural phenomenon as a volcanic eruption.

The ebay item number is
Item number: 220237037691
it has 15 hours to go......

I like wildlife shots...out of the ordinary sneaky shots etc:::

Please give me your opinion on this type of item.

I am interested but unsure..
SO..What do you think ?

Regards Steve

jpalmer (Jason) who posts here has bought a lens similar to this one and has produced some surprisingly good bird shots with it. For the money I can't see you going far wrong as long as you don't expect the very fine resolution you'd get from a quality camera tele lens.

It might be an idea to PM Jason and pick his brains on the subject. ;)

Hi Steve

I don't have any experience of this lens but it looks like a cassegrain type i.e. mirror lens and would be a very slow lens @ F13. For astro may be okay but not great, don't be fooled into believing it's a great high power nature lens, it's not! You pay for what you get :)
