basically got sent this picture, friends asked me to kinda try and re create it for her portfolio and cos im so nice i said i would see if i could

but first i want to know what the model is on because im really into homemade equipment at the moment and really want to make one (another way of saying im a broke student) although if its just a lightbox i can't see myself allowing a friend to step onto a makeshift glass platform soo please help

thanks

thick toughened glass?

Plexiglass? That stuff is very strong, but surface scratches easily.

Is it a box?

I assume a sheet of plexiglass on stands which get cloned out. Or at least that would be the cheap way to do it.

Hmm, maybe a little thicker than 2mm?
Also, consider with todays cameras, you can do remote shooting and viewing, the camera needs to be under the 'glass', the person operating it doesn't.

I design glass for a living, i can let you know how thick it would need to be fora given size and load if you need. :)

just white perspex lit and then cleaned up in photoshop

process supplies in london sell it in big sheets
