what flash for my Nikon D5100

Can anybody recommend a good external flash for my Nikon D5100 please don't have lots of money to spend

sb400...great little flash and can be picked up fairly cheap.Got mine for £48 in mint condition off the classifieds here

No it doesnt but you didnt mention it hence my recommendation,sb600 would be my choice in that case.

It does swivel - but vertical bounce only.. NG for portrait orientation.. Great little flash though..

yes up and down only as you say I was guessing he meant from side to side..

yongnuo yn560 ii cheap swivel but its only manual
good if you want to learn flash

Spend a little more and get a flash that is ittl. You then have the option of ittl or manual.
