Here is a series of images where I started off further away from the spider, and then inched the lens closer until it scarpered! The 6th in that series is a crop though, just cos I can....
Plus there is a photo of the underside of a small walnut orb spider, and finally a house fly. All these taken at around 11pm...

Cracking images.
I can never get close enough without them scuttling away, but then it could be the suns reflection off my bald head!
 
Ahh....so they were asleep, I get it .....:ROFLMAO:

No seriously they are great shots and I need to just work on my technique.
