Hi in Nov off to London on a local trip from yarm studios advise to take a lens that can shoot at 35 mm have a 24 120 that came with the d850 was thinking of getting a prime what lens would you adviseThe itinerary will take in classic viewpoints such as Tower Bridge, St Paul’s Cathedral and the skyscrapers of the financial district. We will also explore one of the many markets and areas of cultural and artistic interest scattered throughout the city. There are a huge range of options available to us and by working in a small group we can adapt our plans to suit individual requests. A full itinerary will be planned closer to the time which will be subject to change as required. A flexible approach is always best when shooting on location as we are always at the mercy of weather, lighting and local conditions.

TBH, assuming that the 24-120 you have is the newer f/4 fixed aperture version rather than the older variable aperture one, I'd take the zoom. Unless you want/need anything significantly faster, in which case a 2nd hand 35mm f/2 would fit the bill. There's an f/1.8 version too BUT it's more than double the new cost and possibly too new to be common on 2nd hand shelves.

Cant read your post. The English used is awful lol

If you take a second lens, you may be left in a quandary as to which one to use and miss the opportunity. Travel light and enjoy the experience! If low light and shallow DoF are something you'd like to play about with, get a 50mm f/1.8 (or f/1.4).

Gtg member who replied to the question and complained about the grammar used you ask asked what would like to shoot hence gtg lol
